Dr Max Menzel is Head of Sustainability & Technical Customer Service in Business Line Stainless Europe at Outokumpu – the global leader in sustainable stainless steel. One key element of his team is to integrate sustainability and Outokumpu’s Green Steel – Circle Green – into the customer interface and drive the decarbonization of the industry. He holds a doctorate degree in Materials Engineering from RWTH Aachen University and has a strong passions for steel. He started his professional career in the product development of new steel grades, following he was accountable for Outokumpu’s Product Management whereas this is still part of his current role.
